Are you a do-it-yourselfer? Do you like heavy equipment? Then STRUCK’s latest offering may have you picking your jaw up off the floor – the Magnatrac RS196K compact bulldozer DIY kit.
The Magnatrac RS196K is the new “younger brother” of STRUCK’s Magnatrac’s RS1100. It shares almost all the features of the RS1000, except you do the painting and assembly.
“If you know the difference between a phillips and a flat head screwdriver, you can build this hard-working dozer,” STRUCK says in a release. “You only need basic DIY tools like socket wrenches, allen wrenches, tape measure, etc.”
According to STRUCK, the track-equipped dozer allows users to push or pull challenging loads. As well, STRUCK says the large surface of the tracks offers excellent flotation, allowing you to cross muddy, mucky, uneven ground without sinking in.
“It’ll skid logs, pull equipment out of ditches, tow compact trailers and wagons, mow fields & till gardens with tow behind equipment, landscape lawns, grade and repair driveways, doze snow, gravel… work in tight spots and fits into the bed of a mid-size pickup truck… lift loads with optional bucket mouth… move boulders… and more,” says STRUCK.
Available options include rubber or steel bolt on track shoe, bucket mouth, angling blade, box scraper, drawbar, log crane, winch, 2 in. receiver hitch, sleeve hitch, rippers, rake, and mud scrapers. With the use of a rear sleeve hitch system you can pull other third party attachments like mowers, wagons, cargo carriers, trailers, and boats.
“This isn’t your dad’s lawnmower; the Magnatrac RS196K is one tough little dozer,” says Ben Prochnow, STRUCK director of marketing. “The assembly manual for the machine is $39, and includes over 240 assembly photos, a DVD showing the kit in action and a $50 certificate to use as cash on a purchase of the kit. Due to the overwhelming success of the Magnatrac RS196K, orders for the kit must be placed weeks in advance to accommodate the demand.”
