John Deere Updates 3-Cylinder 5E Series Tractors

John Deere is updating its popular 3-cylinder 5E Series Utility Tractors for model year 2018.

Visibility to the tractor’s loader has been improved and controls have been repositioned to further enhance operator comfort and reduce fatigue.

The four updated models are the 5045E, 5055E, 5065E and 5075E Utility Tractors, ranging from 50- to 73-engine horsepower. There are 2WD, MFWD, open operator station and cab versions to choose from. Each is powered by a 3-cylinder, turbocharged John Deere PowerTechTM diesel engine. (more…)

FPT Industrial Displays Engine Line For Case IH Vehicles at Farm Progress Show

FPT Industrial will be present within the Case IH exhibit at the 2017 Farm Progress Show and feature engines that power agricultural machinery.

The Farm Progress Show is the largest outdoor farm event in the United States: from the 29th until the 31st of August farmers, agribusinesses and brands will gather from all over the US and around the world to discover the agriculture industry’s newest developments in equipment, technologies, products and services.

FPT Industrial and Case IH, sister brands within CNH Industrial, collaborate together for this event and celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Case IH brand. New John Deere 0 Series Round Balers

With the introduction of the 0 Series Round Balers for the 2018 haying season, John Deere is offering its first North American-built round baler precutter and the industry’s first 5-foot precutter baler.

The eight models that comprise the new 0 Series Round Balers build upon the popular 9 Series Balers and include several new features that improve hay pickup and overall baling speed and productivity in the field. (more…)

John Deere Unveils L331 and L341 Large Square Balers

Making large square bales of high-quality hay will get much easier in 2018 with the introduction of the model L331 and L341 Large Square Balers from John Deere.

Both models feature several customer-requested enhancements, including a new MegaWide pickup with or without precutter, and numerous hay-making options that hay producers can select from to best fit their operations.

These two new large square balers, which will replace the previous L300 Series Large Square Balers introduced in 2015, are 100 percent John Deere designed and built from front to back, says Travis Roe, senior marketing representative for hay tools for John Deere. “They are a perfect fit for commercial hay producers, as well as larger dairy and beef producers, who demand more consistent bale densities with less crop loss, and who want to spend more time baling and less time clearing plugs and servicing the machine.” (more…)

John Deere Introduces Improved Backhoe and Loader for CUTs

John Deere continues to evolve its expansive line of compact utility tractor implements with two additions, the 260B Backhoe and 120R Loader. Building upon previous models, the new implement offerings feature improvements that offer operators the power and productivity needed to get a variety of jobs done.

“When designing our latest backhoe and loader models, we listened to customer feedback, making key changes to improve operator ease and productivity,” said DeMark Cole, Product Specialist for Compact Utility Tractors. “The 260B and 120R retain the features that customers loved from previous models, and include updates to simplify tasks, including implement attachment and detachment, and routine maintenance.” (more…)

John Deere Introduces Smarter S700 Combines

The most advanced grain harvesting technology from front to back is featured in the combines and headers John Deere is introducing for model year 2018 production. This includes four new S700 Combine models (S760, S770, S780 and S790) that offer producers significant improvements in “smart” technology, improved operator comfort and better data, along with the 700C/FC Series Corn Heads and 700D Drapers for more efficient grain harvesting.

Building on the proven field performance of the S600 Combines introduced in 2012, the new S700 Combines incorporate the latest in automated harvesting technology. John Deere Adds Vertical Tillage Tool to Frontier Lineup

Producers looking for an affordable vertical tillage tool that sizes and buries residue in the fall or prepares smooth seedbeds in the spring have another option: The new Frontier VT17 Series Vertical Tillage Tool from John Deere.
