JCB myCHOICE Skid Steer Controls

JCB has introduced its new myCHOICE controls, a controls operation software designed to give operators the ability to adjust their skid steer travel and loader controls for optimal operation during a variety of work conditions.

“We recognized that JCB needed skid steer software to satisfy a wide range of customer applications and demands,” said Kenneth Walton, Chief Engineer for JCB. “When customers see electronic controls, they expect to be able to modify them to suit their needs, similar to how one modifies a cell phone to match personal preference. myChoice skid steer software allows them to do just that.”

Mitas AirCell

Mitas has introduced AirCell, an inner tire that the company boasts enables the inflation of large agricultural tires by 14 psi (from 11 to 26 psi) within just half a minute. According to Mitas, that is more than 10 times faster than the current method of inflation.

Mitas AirCell is located on the rim inside the tire and occupies about 30% of the volume of the tire. Mitas Aircell has been designed for the Mitas 710/75 R42 SFT, other sizes will follow. AirCell is continuously inflated to a maximum of 116 psi during the tires use, releasing some of the pressure on demand, enabling a rapid increase of pressure into the agricultural tire itself, thereby adjusting the pressure in seconds rather than minutes. Mitas AirCell will be available for the Fendt 900 Vario equipped with Mitas 710/75 R42 SFT starting in November 2016. The unique tire pressure inflation system is marketed as VarioGrip Pro received a DLG Agritechnica Gold Medal last week.

Kubota Hay Tools

Kubota has expanded its hay tools line, bringing to market new round balers and turntable bale wrappers; side-mounted and trailed disc mowers; trailed mower conditioners; and a complete range of rotary tedders and rakes.

John Deere Baler B-Wrap

John Deere 469 Premium and 569 Premium Round Balers can now apply B-Wrap, the alternative to indoor storage.

“The Premium Round Balers are designed for customers who make thousands of bales each year,” says Louis Fernandez, senior marketing representative for John Deere Ottumwa Works. “These Premium Balers are not only designed with stronger chains, larger shafts and bearings, and more robust pickups, they also feature Tractor Baler Automation (TBA). And, with TBA, the baler can electronically communicate with newer John Deere tractors to help speed baling and prevent many typical operator errors.”

John Deere 900 Series Round Baler

John Deere has introduced its 9000 Series Round Balers, designed for producers who bale silage or other forage for feed. According to Deere, these pre-cutter-type round balers are ideal for producers who pre-process the forage, making it easier to mix or grind before feeding.

“Many beef and dairy producers can save time and money by pre-processing silage and other forage crops when baling and put a denser, higher-quality forage in the bunk,” says Jeremy Unruh, product line manager of baling and mowing products for John Deere. “This is especially true when baling and feeding high-moisture silage. The 900 Series was designed specifically to address these challenges.”
