Bobcat Landplane

(Press Release) Bobcat Company has expanded its utility vehicle attachment versatility with the new 62-inch landplane attachment, available on 2015 Model Year (MY) 3650 utility vehicles. The bi-directional, site preparation and landscaping attachment allows operators to work in both forward or reverse to easily break up hard ground or level high points.

The new landplane helps UTV operators pulverize soil clods, sift soil to remove large rocks, peel sod and aerate soil for seeding. Options include a bolt-on screen to help break up soil clods, aerate and remove debris. In addition, an optional fold-down scarifier can be lowered to break up hard soil or vegetation, and may be retracted when not in use.

Bobcat T595 Dumping Dirt

(Press Release) The new 74-horsepower Bobcat T595 compact track loader features increased horsepower and performance for pushing or digging applications, without the need for operators to move up to a bigger machine.

With a 2,200-pound rated operating capacity and improved lift force, the T595 compact track loader from Bobcat Company can help increase jobsite productivity, plus it can move or carry more material with an attachment to increase jobsite efficiency.

Bobcat S595 Loader Feature

Bobcat has unveiled a new 74-horsepower skid-steer loader – the S595.

According to Bobcat, the S595 skid-steer loader has the highest rated operating capacity (ROC) of any of the 500-series loaders in its lineup by boasting a 2,200-pound ROC.

Bobcat Compact Loader Undercarriage Close

Bobcat has introduced a new solid-mount and optional Roller Suspension system undercarriages for select compact track loaders, including the T550, T590, T630, T650, T740, T750 and T770.

Dual-flange front idlers now ride on the rubber track’s roller way. According to Bobcat, these new front idlers, along with wider rollers, help reduce vibration, which improves operator comfort while reducing track wear on the inside of the track. Single-flange idlers are still found on the rear of the machine to help minimize de-tracking.

Bobcat MT85

Bobcat has taken the covers off its all-new MT85 mini track loader, following it the footsteps of the MT52 was introduced more than a decade ago.

“The Bobcat MT85 boasts more power, increased lifting capabilities, additional stability and durable components to help operators efficiently complete everyday or challenging tasks in limited-space jobsites,” Bobcat says in a release.

Bobcat Flail Mower

Bobcat has introduced a new 40-inch FMR flail mower attachment for use with its E63, E80, and E85 excavators.

“The flail mower attachment provides optimal safety, performance and uptime protection in mowing and land-clearing applications such as cleaning ditches, hillsides, utility right-of-ways and riverbanks, as well as maintenance for parks and recreational trails,” Bobcat says in a release.

Bobcat UTV Spreader

Bobcat has beefed up its accessories line with a new spreader for its line of Utility Vehicles. Bobcat says the new spreader can be used on 3400, 3600 and 3650 UTVs (model year 2015).

The spreader is mounted in the UTV’s cargo box, and is designed to spread sand and salt for winter maintenance tasks. Powered by a 12-volt DC drive motor, the new spreader can distribute salt or sand – from 5 to 38 feet – from the spinner wheel to melt snow and ice from surfaces. Utility vehicle operators can spread salt and sand on sidewalks, trails, driveways, intersections and parking lots.

Owners can distribute salt or sand without leaving their seat. Two variable-speed dials on the dash-mounted control allow for independent adjustment of the auger and spinner control. A three-stage baffle is another feature that allows operators to adjust the material flow for proper material granularity.

Bobcat says the rust-resistant, double-wall poly-molded hopper can hold up to 10.6 cubic feet of heaped (7.8 cubic feet struck [level]) salt or sand. In addition, a mesh screen at the top of the hopper allows for large chunks of sand and salt to be filtered at an even and consistent flow. A vibrator feature also helps reduce the bridging of material for a constant and even flow.

Attaching and detaching the spreader can be a one-person job because of the pallet fork slots. A spring-latch locking mechanism easily allows the spreader’s spinner to be removed for storage and cleaning.

Bobcat 3D Grade Control

A partnership between Bobcat Company and Trimble has produced the first-ever 3D grade control system solution for use with Bobcat skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders and all-wheel steer loaders.

“The Trimble GCS900 grade control system for use with Bobcat 96- and 108-inch heavy-duty grader attachments will offer both small and large contractors alike the ability to work on complex projects that require digital designs and 3D machine control,” Bobcat says in a release.

Bobcat Skid Steer Loader

Bobcat Company has transitioned to a 3.4-liter diesel engine for its 700 and 800 frame-size skid-steer loaders to achieve Tier 4 compliance.

Bobcat S750, S770 and S850 skid-steer loaders; T750, T770 and T870 compact track loaders, and A770 all-wheel steer loader are manufactured with a Tier 4-compliant, Bobcat 3.4-liter diesel engine. This engine does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF), which would make a regeneration process and routine filter cleanings necessary.

Bobcat Headquarters

Bobcat Company and parent company Doosan have begun a $9.5 million expansion of its headquarters in West Fargo, ND.

“This is an exciting time at Bobcat Company and Doosan, as we continue to grow in North Dakota,” says Rich Goldsbury, president of Bobcat Company and Doosan North America. “This investment is about maintaining our leadership position in the compact equipment industry, driving more heavy equipment business growth, and creating an environment where innovation and forward thinking will generate the next best ideas.”

The current headquarters houses individuals within several departments of business administration, as well as product development and marketing communications for Bobcat Company and Doosan. Square footage and employee capacity will double with this expansion. As well, Bobcat and Doosan will pursue LEED certification for the facility in both design and construction.

Bobcat Expansion

The expansion is slated for completion in late summer 2016. Bobcat Company has four other North Dakota facilities: its primary manufacturing plant in Gwinner; an attachments production facility in Bismarck; the new Acceleration Center in Bismarck; and a support factory in Wahpeton.

“We plan to create an environment that helps us attract and retain talented team members focused on helping to move our company forward,” says Goldsbury. “The building will offer state-of-the art facilities for collaboration and independent working, similar to what we’ve done at the Acceleration Center in Bismarck.”
