Mitas Powerpull

(Press Release) The special tractor pulling tire Mitas Powerpull has been released for sale in North America. After several months of in-house development and extensive testing, Mitas 30.5L32 148A8 Powerpull is available for pulling teams. It is manufactured as a slick tire without a tread pattern, allowing the competitor to create the winning tread design of their choice. Manufacturing of Mitas Powerpull 30.5L-32 is based on a process similar to that of Mitas’ high-horsepower tractor tires. This will guarantee endurance and durability.

Mitas PneuTrac

Mitas is continuing its progress with getting its PneuTrac concept complete. Field tests have begun, which, according to Mitas, show the clear advantages of its larger footprint and better tractive force over standard and IF agricultural tires.

As testing continues, Mitas aims to measure and compare characteristics of Mitas PneuTrac and rubber tracks during 2016 to clearly position PneuTrac among tire and track solutions offered on the market. Mitas’ goal is to have all data needed for a successful market launch available by the end of 2017.

Mitas AirCell

Mitas has introduced AirCell, an inner tire that the company boasts enables the inflation of large agricultural tires by 14 psi (from 11 to 26 psi) within just half a minute. According to Mitas, that is more than 10 times faster than the current method of inflation.

Mitas AirCell is located on the rim inside the tire and occupies about 30% of the volume of the tire. Mitas Aircell has been designed for the Mitas 710/75 R42 SFT, other sizes will follow. AirCell is continuously inflated to a maximum of 116 psi during the tires use, releasing some of the pressure on demand, enabling a rapid increase of pressure into the agricultural tire itself, thereby adjusting the pressure in seconds rather than minutes. Mitas AirCell will be available for the Fendt 900 Vario equipped with Mitas 710/75 R42 SFT starting in November 2016. The unique tire pressure inflation system is marketed as VarioGrip Pro received a DLG Agritechnica Gold Medal last week.

Mitas PneuTrac on Case IH Maxxum

Mitas will give the first live demonstration of its PneuTrac concept in the United States at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Ill. in September.

During the field demonstration, a 28″ PneuTrac will be mounted on the front axle of a Case IH Maxxum tractor. The rear axle will be fitted with a 38″ PneuTrac. Mitas PneuTrac will also be displayed during the show at Mitas stand No. 442 mounted on Case IH Maxxum tractor. Mitas will release the detailed schedule of PneuTrac demonstrations for the press and the public soon.

Mitas VS 710 HC 3000

Mitas has introduced a new VF 710/70R42 CFO HC 3000 combine harvester tire, using its Very High Flexion (VF) technology.

Mitas says its HC 3000 tires offer higher maximum load capacity and lower inflation pressure during cyclic field operation than competitive tires.

Mitas PneuTrac Tire

Mitas’ PneuTrac tire concept will be on display at the 2014 Farm Progress Show, which takes place August 26-28 in Boone, Iowa.

Mitas will display PneuTrac mounted on a 38-inch rim at booth 16S for the first time ever in the United States.

“PneuTrac brings together the best of both worlds in traditional pneumatic tires and rubber tracks,” Mitas says in a release.
