New Holland Applauds Passage of Section 179 Tax Break

Congress has approved tax legislation extending the $500,000 Section 179 capital assets depreciation limit and enhanced bonus depreciation.

“New Holland Agriculture and Construction applauds enactment of this legislation, which allows farmers and small businesses to immediately write off the full price of up to $500,000 in capital assets purchases (including farm and construction equipment) instead of depreciating it over time,” New Holland says in a release. John Deere Unveils Narrow 5G Series Tractors

John Deere has taken the covers off its new 5G Series tractors with narrow configurations aimed at vineyard and orchard producers.

“The 5G Series tractors build on the success of the 5EN Series to offer customers more choices for their specialty applications,” says Christopher Lammie, product manager, John Deere Augusta. “With two chassis widths for narrow (5GN) and vineyard (5GV) applications, the 5G Series Tractors bring John Deere utility tractor performance into specialty row applications.” (more…)

Bobcat Introduces New Compact Track Loader Undercarriages

Bobcat has introduced a new solid-mount and optional Roller Suspension system undercarriages for select compact track loaders, including the T550, T590, T630, T650, T740, T750 and T770.

Dual-flange front idlers now ride on the rubber track’s roller way. According to Bobcat, these new front idlers, along with wider rollers, help reduce vibration, which improves operator comfort while reducing track wear on the inside of the track. Single-flange idlers are still found on the rear of the machine to help minimize de-tracking. (more…)

Krone Expands BiG X Forage Harvester Lineup

Krone is expanding its line of forage harvesters to include four new models of the BiG X. The BiG X 480, 530, 580 and 630 round out the range of the BiG X line with 489, 523, 585 and 617 horsepower, respectively.

“The new BiG X models were tested extensively in North America,” said Jim Mandes, northern region sales manager. “Capitalizing on the reputation of the BiG X 700, 850 and 1100, these machines will allow Krone to offer machines to operations that have lower horsepower requirements and provide the same exceptional forage quality, reliability and production.” (more…)

New Holland‘s new T7.315 tractor was named the “Machine of the Year” 2016 in the large tractor category at Agritechnica 2015.

New Holland has unveiled a pair of new Braud grape harvester models that will hit dealerships in 2016. The Braud 7030M and 8030L introduce the new compact range concept for grape harvesters.

Gleaner has introduced its new S9 Series combines, which claim to offer more harvesting performance, technology, comfort and convenience. Available in 2016, the S9 Series includes three models, the S96, S97 and S98 to meet the needs of growers seeking class 6, 7 and 8 machines.

JCB Introduces New Software for Skid Steer Operators

JCB has introduced its new myCHOICE controls, a controls operation software designed to give operators the ability to adjust their skid steer travel and loader controls for optimal operation during a variety of work conditions.

Mahindra North American unveiled a handful of new tractors at its National Dealer Meeting in Kansas City, Mo.

The eMax S line of tractors includes four updated models with an all-new steel hood and fenders, stronger body and a unique cab model. The 1526 tractors are designed to provide good value in the below 26 HP category and the 2538 Tier IV line features a hydrostatic cab model. (more…)
