The 2017 edition of Agritechnica opened with many awards ceremonies. A jury composed by 24 international expert journalists decided to mention FPT Industrial both in the “Tractor of the Year 2018” and “Machine of the Year 2018”. FPT Industrial was involved five times during these ceremonies: first for equipping McCormick’s X6.440 VT-Drive tractor, which won the “Tractor of the Year” award in the “Best Utility” category, then for powering Case IH Maxxum Multicontroller, STEYR Profi, New Holland Agriculture T6.175 Dynamic Command in the “Mid-Class” category and the CLAAS AXION 900 in the “High Horsepower tractors” category of the “Machine of the Year” award.

TRACTOR OF THE YEAR 2018 – BEST UTILITY
FPT Industrial powers the McCormick X6.440 VT-Drive tractor, which won in the “Best Utility” category of the “Tractor of the year” award. FPT Industrial provides NEF 45 StageIIIB / Tier4 Interim engine to McCormick, a 4.5-liter 4-cylinder in-line engine, capable of providing a max power of 175 hp and a max torque of 710 Nm.
MACHINE OF THE YEAR 2018 – MID-CLASS and HIGH HORSEPOWER
FPT Industrial was also mentioned in the “Mid-Class” and “High Horsepower” tractor categories.
As for the first one, FPT Industrial equips the Case IH Maxxum Multicontroller, the STEYR Profi and the New Holland Agriculture T6.175 Dynamic Command. All these winning tractors are equipped with FPT Industrial N45 and N67 Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engines, which confirm to be one of the best powertrain engines family in the world, with 1.6 millions engines produced. These models feature best-in-class power and torque, fuel efficiency, a Common Rail injection system and are equipped with HI-eSCR.
In the “High Horsepower” category, instead, FPT Industrial powers the CLAAS AXION 900 with a 8.7 liter Cursor 9 engine. The Cursor 9 comes with a 6-cylinder in-line architecture featuring the most advanced Common Rail injection system, while the structural installation is specially tailor-made for the CLAAS AXION 900 tractor, allowing it a max power of 445 hp, and a max torque of 1,850 Nm: a performance that was underlined even by the jury when assigning the award.
