John Deere Introduces Smarter S700 Combines

The most advanced grain harvesting technology from front to back is featured in the combines and headers John Deere is introducing for model year 2018 production. This includes four new S700 Combine models (S760, S770, S780 and S790) that offer producers significant improvements in “smart” technology, improved operator comfort and better data, along with the 700C/FC Series Corn Heads and 700D Drapers for more efficient grain harvesting.

Building on the proven field performance of the S600 Combines introduced in 2012, the new S700 Combines incorporate the latest in automated harvesting technology. Many of these changes make it easier on the operator by allowing the combine to make needed adjustments automatically, on the go. (more…)

Gleaner Debuts New S9 Series Combines

Gleaner has introduced its new S9 Series combines, which claim to offer more harvesting performance, technology, comfort and convenience. Available in 2016, the S9 Series includes three models, the S96, S97 and S98 to meet the needs of growers seeking class 6, 7 and 8 machines.

“Today’s growers must harvest more crop from more acres in an increasingly narrow harvest window which means they need a combine that can adapt to and perform in less than ideal harvest conditions,” says Caleb Schleder, tactical marketing manager at AGCO. “We’ve incorporated the latest technology, comfort features and even more engineering advancements to ensure our combines provide operators the ability to handle whatever harvest conditions they face during long days in the fields.” (more…)

Hypro Introduces Poly Diaphragm Pump Series and Poly Transfer Pump Series

Hypro has introduced two new products – the Poly Diaphragm Pump Series and 3” Poly Transfer Pump Series.

Hypro’s polypropylene diaphragm pump is built with polypropylene heads and manifolds for corrosion resistance and is designed for harsh chemical applications. The three-cylinder design eliminates the need for pulsation dampening devices, and lengthens the life of the entire pumping system. This poly diaphragm pump series has flow rates up to 11.0 gpm (41.6 lpm) and pressure to 290 psi (20 bar).

The poly diaphragm pump is built with external inlet and outlet manifolds compared to that of internal manifold design. According to Hypro, this allows for easy valve replacement and lower cost repairs. The oil sight glass is located in a protected spot, positioned at the top of the pump body, reducing the chance for breakage. (more…)
