Massey Ferguson Releases New 5700 and 6700 Series Tractors

Massey Ferguson, a global brand of AGCO Corporation (NYSE:AGCO), expands its heavy-duty utility tractor lineup with the new 5700 and 6700 Series, offering outstanding weight and lift capacity for tractors in the 100- to 130-engine horsepower range. The tractors were introduced at the 2016 Farm Progress Show and join Massey Ferguson’s recently-introduced 4700 Series to round out the new Global Series. Massey Ferguson Tractor Drives to South Pole

After a gruelling 2,500 km journey across the ice, the Antarctica2 expedition team arrived at the South Pole with its Massey Ferguson MF 510 tractor on Dec. 9, 2014.

Immediately relaying the exciting news from the ice, the crew announced: “04.30 hours CET. This is December 9th, Camp 17. After 17 days and 2500 kilometres, we are at a red and white striped pole with a reflective ball on top, surrounded by flags. This is South 90 – as far South as anybody can go. It’s unbelievable – at the South Pole there is a red Massey Ferguson tractor! We’re all ecstatic to be here and so proud to be taking our hero shots with the tractor that never gave us cause to doubt that it would be up for the challenge. AGCO Facility Upgrades Drive Product Quality Improvements

AGCO is in the midst of a multi-year, $42 million upgrade and expansion to its engineering and manufacturing facility in Jackson, Minn. The motivation behind the project, which kicked off in 2013, is to further improve the quality of the agricultural equipment built there, as well as the efficiency and production capacity of the facility.
