Mitas Plans to Launch PneuTrac in Two Years

Mitas is continuing its progress with getting its PneuTrac concept complete. Field tests have begun, which, according to Mitas, show the clear advantages of its larger footprint and better tractive force over standard and IF agricultural tires.

As testing continues, Mitas aims to measure and compare characteristics of Mitas PneuTrac and rubber tracks during 2016 to clearly position PneuTrac among tire and track solutions offered on the market. Mitas to Debut PneuTrac Concept at Farm Progress Show

Mitas will give the first live demonstration of its PneuTrac concept in the United States at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Ill. in September.

During the field demonstration, a 28″ PneuTrac will be mounted on the front axle of a Case IH Maxxum tractor. The rear axle will be fitted with a 38″ PneuTrac. Mitas PneuTrac will also be displayed during the show at Mitas stand No. 442 mounted on Case IH Maxxum tractor. Mitas to Unveil PneuTrac at Farm Progress Show

Mitas’ PneuTrac tire concept will be on display at the 2014 Farm Progress Show, which takes place August 26-28 in Boone, Iowa.

Mitas will display PneuTrac mounted on a 38-inch rim at booth 16S for the first time ever in the United States.

“PneuTrac brings together the best of both worlds in traditional pneumatic tires and rubber tracks,” Mitas says in a release. (more…)
