With being a veteran I also saved an an extra $200.00 off the purchase price, witch I gave back and applied toward the extra 3 year extended

warranty. The third time I went to mow my lawn the battery was dead from a bad cell and it had to be replaced, which was covered under the warranty. I have not had any problems with the tractor since. Cuts nice, rides nice and is a joy to own. Just a note: The man who picked up my tractor to have the battery replaced stated that they was having a problem with the fuel tanks. It seems that when the plastic fuel tanks are made that their is some plastic sometimes left in the bottom of the tanks that cause the tractor to act like it is not getting fuel. So if you are having a problem, you might want to clean out your fuel tank in case it has the plastic in it. Other then my bad cell in my battery my John Deere D140 has run like a top. I have made a homemade snow plow for my tractor and even posted videos on Youtube named 2011 John Deere D140.
