My NX6010, number 44.
By Eric(Owner), Mar. 25, 2015
I may have been the first person to purchase an NX6010PC HST cab in North America (#44). Although the factory literature claims only two sets of rear remotes can be added, I added three sets rear remotes, along with a third function with hard lines on the loader of my own design, belly armor, upgrad

ed the steering guards on the front axle, and improved the sound damping of the cab. I further added a chain saw holder in the rear, an additional always hot 12v power point in the cab, a 7" monitor for a rear camera, upgraded the front and rear work lights to 36w LED work lights, added an additional set of LED side work lights, weighted all four tires with a total of 1250 pounds of Rim Guard and have been beating the snot out of the tractor ever since. The tractor has taken it all in stride!
In comparison to the competition from Masset (MF1758), Deere (4066R), and Kubota (L6060), I felt the Kioti NX series cab had the best control layout with everything within reach and especially still in reach when turned rearward to mind three point attachments. Even still, I wish that more storage was molded into the bulkheads covering the interior and wonder why tractor OEMs don't take advantage of molding in storage in the ceiling? Like the Massey and Deere, the HST forward and reverse pedals are mounted side-by-side, and I felt this is much more intuitive to use as well as less fatiguing that Kubota's rocker pedal design.
The HVAC system kept up in hot summers in direct sunlight as well as in cold Minnesota winters. It's only shortfall is the lack of factory defrosters for the windows. Defrosters are available in the aftermarket, though I've yet to add any.
While I've enjoyed the ease-of use, the tractor is not without several design elements that can be refined. For example: the NX6010 comes with a CAT2 set-up from the factory. Yet if an industry standard SpeeCo CAT2 Quick Hitch is mounted, there isn't enough clearance between the rear fenders to lift the three point all the way without hitting the rear fenders. Get out a coping saw and make space as there is a reason Deere mounts their rear fender extensions well forward for three point clearance on their competing 4000 series.
Anyway, neat tractor and thus far I have no regrets. I hope that Kioti will develop more options in the future, thereby increasing the value add of Kioti's brand and product and making ownership and set-up even easier for their customers as I spent the first six weeks of tractor ownership fabricating stuff I wish I could have simply purchased from the factory. Compact Tractor OEMS could learn from light truck OEMs about the profitability of offering and selling options. Moreover, I wish Kioti would offer their USA clients with the factory front fenders and beacon lights available in other markets around the world. Notwithstanding, the tractor has met my expectations and offers good value for the money for those who can fab their own options.
