Curtis Industries Acquires Artillian, LLC

Curtis Industries, LLC. has finalized the acquisition of Artillian, LLC, a privately owned company based in Douglas, Massachusetts. The company will continue to operate under the Artilian name as a division of Curtis.

Artillian manufactures pallet forks for John Deere front loaders and innovative modular Grapple attachments. Their product line also includes a variety of other specialty attachments and accessories built specifically for John Deere Compact Utility Tractors and a variety of skid-steer machines. (more…)

Camso Unveils Two New Track Products

John Deere Unveils 5R Series Tractors and 540R Loader

John Deere introduces its new 5R Series Tractors that leverage existing technologies normally found in large tractors, to provide customers with unrivaled maneuverability, an easy-to-use transmission, increased visibility, loader integration, and operator comfort.

A 7.4-foot wheelbase paired with a 60-degree steering angle, provides a tight turning radius of 12.1 feet. Customers working in confined areas such as barns, will be able to easily maneuver in tight areas increasing their productivity. (more…)

Challenger Introduces Tractor Management Center for MT600E Tractors

Challenger, a global brand of AGCO Corporation, introduced a new 9-inch, touch-screen Tractor Management Center (TMC) terminal and comprehensive offering of precision farming technology on the Challenger MT600E Series high horsepower tractors during the 2017 World Ag Expo. These tractors are now available with full integration of on-board precision technologies, including AgControl section and variable rate control, as well as TaskDoc Pro wireless data transfer. As part of the Fuse open approach to partnerships, customers will be able to choose either the NovAtel SMART6-L or Trimble AG-382 receiver to best match their existing base station and coverage needs.

John Deere CommandViewTM III Cab and Carbon Fiber Booms

Producers and ag service providers can enhance the capabilities of their new John Deere 4-Series Sprayers by adding a new lightweight carbon fiber boom and new CommandViewTM III cab that provides all-day comfort and a customizable workspace.

“The CommandView III cab comes equipped with the John Deere 4600 CommandCenter that enables producers and ag service providers to efficiently capture, manage and transfer data. The redesigned CommandARMTM features a multi-function handle to give operators additional ways to customize their work environment,” says Doug Felter, marketing manager, application equipment for John Deere. McCormick Unveils Four New Tractor Lines

McCormick North America recently hosted its annual 2017 Dealer Meeting event for its entire North American dealer network. Held in Orlando, FL, McCormick unveiled 4 new tractor lines to further complement its full-line tractor offering. New tractor families include the X4 STANDARD Series, X6 STANDARD Series, X6 VT-Drive Series, and X8 VT-Drive Series, which brings McCormick’s offering to over 300 horsepower!

With the exception of the X8 VT-Drive Series, the newly released models fit into a horsepower segment that is already covered by McCormick tractor. However, these new machines offer new levels of features, comfort, and performance that target a wider range of customers within the segment. “We want to offer customers more choices within the McCormick tractor line-up,” says Tiago Bonomo, President of McCormick North America. “Customers have specific needs, and we need to be able to meet those needs.” After the initial unveiling in Orlando, McCormick will officially launch all 4 new models at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY, booth 4060 in the North Wing. AGCO Introduces High Speed White Planters 9800VE Series Planters

AGCO Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, is bringing to market White Planters 9800VE Series planters equipped with SpeedTube seed tubes from Precision Planting. The planter will be introduced and on display at the AGCO Exhibit, Lots 7801 and 7823 during the 2017 National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Ky.

John Deere Extends Warranties for Ag and Turf Equipment

John Deere announces that it has significantly increased the warranty periods for its Ag and Turf equipment parts, retroactive to parts sold after November 1, 2016. The new warranty terms apply to dealer-installed John Deere original equipment manufactured (OEM) parts and labor, as well as non-dealer or customer-installed John Deere OEM parts for the company’s Ag and Turf lines of equipment.
