John Deere Unveils 900 Series Round Balers

John Deere has introduced its 9000 Series Round Balers, designed for producers who bale silage or other forage for feed. According to Deere, these pre-cutter-type round balers are ideal for producers who pre-process the forage, making it easier to mix or grind before feeding.

“Many beef and dairy producers can save time and money by pre-processing silage and other forage crops when baling and put a denser, higher-quality forage in the bunk,” says Jeremy Unruh, product line manager of baling and mowing products for John Deere. “This is especially true when baling and feeding high-moisture silage. The 900 Series was designed specifically to address these challenges.” (more…)

2015 John Deere Drive Green Demo Days Info

In what has become an annual tradition across the country, hundreds of local John Deere dealerships are again hosting Drive Green Demo Days events. This year’s Drive Green events will focus on the tractor buying experience, not only giving guests the opportunity to check out a wide variety of equipment and implements, but also the many different attachments that are available to help them get more from and do more with their equipment.

John Deere Announces Green Fever Giveaway

John Deere has kicked off its annual Green Fever sales event to start its 2015 product marketing year by launching a new $35,000 Green Fever Giveaway program, which includes a $25,000 landscape makeover. As well, John Deere says customers can get major discounts and financing incentives on select models of equipment purchased from November 1, 2014, to February 2, 2015.

As part of the Green Fever Giveaway, John Deere is offering a grand prize package of a $25,000 landscape makeover and choice of either a John Deere Gator, ZTrak Mower, 1 Family Tractor or Signature Series Lawn Tractor (total approximate retail value up to $36,748, depending on selected equipment). John Deere Expands 6 Family Tractor Lineup for 2015

John Deere has made improvements to the 6D and 6R Series Tractors for 2015. The four 6D Series Tractors (6105D, 6115D, 6130D and 6140D) come with two new transmissions: a 12/12 PowrReverser or optional 24/12 PowrReverser Hi/Lo to provide more speeds within each working range.

According to Brad Tolbert, marketing manager for 6 Family Tractors for John Deere, these new transmission options allow operators to shift on the fly to match changing field conditions and keep engine RPMs constant for PTO-driven equipment such as rotary cutters and balers. (more…)

John Deere Makes Changes to 5M Utility Tractors for 2015

John Deere has made changes to its high-spec 5M model lineup. These updates include the addition of aftertreatment systems to meet Final Tier 4 compliance, and a host of comfort, convenience, and performance features with model year 2015 tractors.

The changes impact the complete range of 5M Utility Tractors, ranging from 75 to 115 hp. The 3-cylinder 5075M model will have John Deere’s diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and diesel particulate filter (DPF) solution with no diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) required. The 5075M will also feature modern styling with chrome headlight bezels, a full range of isolated open operator stations and cabs, and new factory installed options such as front fenders and cab fender extensions, according to Brad Aldridge, product marketing manager for 5M Tractors at John Deere. John Deere‘s new 2015 W260 Self-Propelled Windrower and 500R Platform feature increased horsepower and advanced cutting technology.

“The combination of the W260 Windrower and 500R Platform results in improved cut quality and consistent windrow formation to minimize dry-down time and deliver high-quality hay and forage,” says James Petersen, senior marketing representative, John Deere Ottumwa Works. “When harvesting a forage crop where time is money, operators can cut up to 100 extra acres a day because of the increased cutting speed and reduced overlaps.” (more…)
