John Deere Announces Green Fever Giveaway

John Deere has kicked off its annual Green Fever sales event to start its 2015 product marketing year by launching a new $35,000 Green Fever Giveaway program, which includes a $25,000 landscape makeover. As well, John Deere says customers can get major discounts and financing incentives on select models of equipment purchased from November 1, 2014, to February 2, 2015.

As part of the Green Fever Giveaway, John Deere is offering a grand prize package of a $25,000 landscape makeover and choice of either a John Deere Gator, ZTrak Mower, 1 Family Tractor or Signature Series Lawn Tractor (total approximate retail value up to $36,748, depending on selected equipment). AGCO Facility Upgrades Drive Product Quality Improvements

AGCO is in the midst of a multi-year, $42 million upgrade and expansion to its engineering and manufacturing facility in Jackson, Minn. The motivation behind the project, which kicked off in 2013, is to further improve the quality of the agricultural equipment built there, as well as the efficiency and production capacity of the facility.

“Farmers expect the best when they purchase AGCO equipment built here in Jackson, and we have a history of meeting those expectations,” says Eric Fisher, AGCO director of operations. “With the continuous improvements we’re making here and at other AGCO facilities, we continue to provide our dealers and farmers the highest-quality agricultural equipment available.” (more…)

AGCO Shares Winterizing Tips for Farmers

As the fall harvest wraps up, many farmers are turning their attention to next spring, making decisions on fertilizer, crop rotations and seed purchases. AGCO wants to remind farmers not to overlook necessary maintenance on their tractors before winter sets in.

New Holland Breaks Guinness World Record

New Holland Agriculture has reclaimed the Guinness World Records title, harvesting 797.656 tonnes (29,308.84 bushels) of wheat in eight hours with its 653 hp CR10.90 Elevation combine.

“We are extremely proud to have recaptured the Guinness World Records title for harvesting almost 800 tonnes (30,000 bushels) of wheat in eight hours, shattering the previous record by more than 120 tonnes (4,409 bushels),” says Hedley Cooper, head of harvesting product management. “This record demonstrates the unsurpassed capacity and productivity of the CR10.90 Elevation, especially as the current record of 675.84 tonnes (24,832.87 bushels) was broken after just six hours and 36 minutes.” (more…)

Kubota Introduces M7-Series Tractor Line

Kubota took the covers off its anticipated M7-Series tractor line at its 2014 Dealer Meeting in Nashville. Included in the line are three new mid-range tractors in the 130 to 170 horsepower range. This is the largest horsepower offering for Kubota in its tractor line-up to date.

“With the Kubota M7, we’ve set in motion a strategy for full-scale entry into new markets, setting our sights on commercial livestock and row-crop production customers, and readying Kubota to compete with other big players in the field,” says Todd Stucke, Kubota vice president, agriculture and turf division. “The M7’s ease of operation, technological advances and overall comfort factor will make it a top choice for hay producers as well.” (more…)

Bobcat Unveils Zero Tail Swing E20 Compact Excavator

Bobcat has introduced its new 13.9-horsepower Zero Tail Swing (ZTS) E20 compact excavator, which Bobcat says in designed to handle the toughest jobs in confined spaces.

The Tier-4 compliant E20 replaces the 324 excavator model and features an automatic slew brake. Available as options are auto-shift drive and a fingertip auxiliary boom swing control. It has a maximum reach of 14 feet, dig depth of 8 feet 6 inches and dump height of 8 feet 8 inches. With the E20 the rear of the house stays within the width of the tracks through full rotation, allowing operators to work flush against a structure to help minimize damaging nearby objects. (more…)

Massey Ferguson and Woods Equipment Enter Partnership

Massey Ferguson, a tractor brand of AGCO, and Woods, an implement and attachment brand of the Farm, Ranch, and Agriculture Division of Blount International, have joined together to provide consumers compatible and color-matched implements and tractors.

“Through this agreement, customers have access to more than 70 Woods implements paired with Massey Ferguson tractors,” says Jerry Johnson, president of Blount International’s Farm, Ranch and Agriculture Division. “We’re proud to provide Massey Ferguson dealers a broader product offering and to have sales of these implements supported by AGCO Finance programs.” (more…)

Bobcat Company Reveals Winners of Million Loaders Celebration

A second-generation Bobcat compact equipment owner received the surprise of his life by being honored with a Special Edition One-Millionth Bobcat T650 compact track loader during Bobcat Company’s “Unstoppable” campaign and Million Loaders Celebration contest.

Steven Klumker, of Mancos, Colo., visited the Bobcat of Durango equipment dealership thinking he was being interviewed as a finalist for the contest. Instead, he was handed over the grand prize with his family on hand to celebrate with him. (more…)

John Deere Expands 6 Family Tractor Lineup for 2015

John Deere has made improvements to the 6D and 6R Series Tractors for 2015. The four 6D Series Tractors (6105D, 6115D, 6130D and 6140D) come with two new transmissions: a 12/12 PowrReverser or optional 24/12 PowrReverser Hi/Lo to provide more speeds within each working range.

According to Brad Tolbert, marketing manager for 6 Family Tractors for John Deere, these new transmission options allow operators to shift on the fly to match changing field conditions and keep engine RPMs constant for PTO-driven equipment such as rotary cutters and balers. (more…)

John Deere Makes Changes to 5M Utility Tractors for 2015

John Deere has made changes to its high-spec 5M model lineup. These updates include the addition of aftertreatment systems to meet Final Tier 4 compliance, and a host of comfort, convenience, and performance features with model year 2015 tractors.

The changes impact the complete range of 5M Utility Tractors, ranging from 75 to 115 hp. The 3-cylinder 5075M model will have John Deere’s diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and diesel particulate filter (DPF) solution with no diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) required. The 5075M will also feature modern styling with chrome headlight bezels, a full range of isolated open operator stations and cabs, and new factory installed options such as front fenders and cab fender extensions, according to Brad Aldridge, product marketing manager for 5M Tractors at John Deere.
