John Deere Unveils 9R and 9RT Series for 2015

Large-scale farmers who need to cover a lot of acres under tough might want to explore the new John Deere 9R/9RT Series.

The new 9R/9RT Series Tractors feature more horsepower across all models and industry-leading hydraulic capacity in durable, articulated four-wheel-drive and track tractor platforms. According to John Deere, these machines are ideal for row-crop applications and large-acre small-grain operations with tough field conditions and hillside terrain, as well as the high-performance demands of the scraper market. John Deere Introduces New Windrower and Platform for 2015

John Deere‘s new 2015 W260 Self-Propelled Windrower and 500R Platform feature increased horsepower and advanced cutting technology.

“The combination of the W260 Windrower and 500R Platform results in improved cut quality and consistent windrow formation to minimize dry-down time and deliver high-quality hay and forage,” says James Petersen, senior marketing representative, John Deere Ottumwa Works. “When harvesting a forage crop where time is money, operators can cut up to 100 extra acres a day because of the increased cutting speed and reduced overlaps.” (more…)

John Deere Introduces New Large Square Balers for 2015

John Deere has introduced two new L Series Square Balers, the L330 and the L340. These large balers are designed to maximize performance, increase uptime, and lower the overall cost of operation for commercial hay equipment owners and operators.

“We’ve been working for years to develop a large square baler that will meet the tough demands of our commercial hay customers,” says Jeremy Unruh, product line manager, Ottumwa Works. “And now we’re very pleased to launch the new L Series Square Balers with High-Capacity Rotor to offer more efficiency, capacity, and performance to commercial hay producers in the U.S. and Canada.” (more…)

Mahindra USA Launches “Rise” Advertising Campaign

Mahindra USA has launched a new advertising campaign designed to celebrate rural landowners.

“For rural landowners, the land is not only their home but in many cases also their livelihood as well,” Mahindra says in a release. “Mahindra created this campaign to honor the character and strength vital to “Rise” each day to meet the unique challenges of this lifestyle.”

Fendt Unveils New 700 Series Tractors

Fendt has introduced its new 700 Series tractor line, offering what it calls a broader range of premium options and price points.

Michelin to Display New Tires at Farm Progress Show

Michelin will conduct special demonstrations at the 2014 Farm Progress Show, Aug. 26-28, in Boone, Iowa, to illustrate the benefits of its YieldBib VF tires with Ultraflex technologies compared to standard radial technology row-crop tires. As well, Michelin will showcase its new 50-inch SprayBib tire.

Michelin is planning two demonstrations for the YieldBib VF tires. First is a soil compaction demo, which will feature a large, above-ground pit that is designed to demonstrate the reduced soil compaction of a tractor equipped with Michelin YieldBib tires versus an identical tractor with standard radial tire technology. This is a static display that can be seen throughout the show. Second is the Michelin Traction Challenge. This live demonstration, lasting about 20 minutes, will take place on the “Michelin Testing Grounds.” Two identical tractors will pull against each other with the goal of showing improved traction as well as better fuel efficiency with YieldBib versus standard radial technology tires. John Deere is offering two new special edition Gator utility vehicles that forgo the traditional John Deere green for a blacked out appearance.

Mitas to Unveil PneuTrac at Farm Progress Show

Mitas’ PneuTrac tire concept will be on display at the 2014 Farm Progress Show, which takes place August 26-28 in Boone, Iowa.

Mitas will display PneuTrac mounted on a 38-inch rim at booth 16S for the first time ever in the United States.

John Deere has introduced a new Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Equipment Program for consumers looking for field-ready used machines.

“Some customers have not upgraded their machinery fleet in a few years and the Certified Pre-Owned Equipment Program will allow them to trade up to later model machines with new technology,” says Bill Weber, division manager, remarketing, John Deere. “Typically, these machines have better fuel economy, comfort, convenience, and the latest technology to provide exceptional value to customers wanting to enhance and improve their overall equipment line-up.” (more…)
