John Deere Introduces New Windrower and Platform for 2015

John Deere‘s new 2015 W260 Self-Propelled Windrower and 500R Platform feature increased horsepower and advanced cutting technology.

“The combination of the W260 Windrower and 500R Platform results in improved cut quality and consistent windrow formation to minimize dry-down time and deliver high-quality hay and forage,” says James Petersen, senior marketing representative, John Deere Ottumwa Works. “When harvesting a forage crop where time is money, operators can cut up to 100 extra acres a day because of the increased cutting speed and reduced overlaps.” (more…)

John Deere Introduces New Large Square Balers for 2015

John Deere has introduced two new L Series Square Balers, the L330 and the L340. These large balers are designed to maximize performance, increase uptime, and lower the overall cost of operation for commercial hay equipment owners and operators.

Fendt has introduced its new 700 Series tractor line, offering what it calls a broader range of premium options and price points.

Michelin to Display New Tires at Farm Progress Show

Michelin will conduct special demonstrations at the 2014 Farm Progress Show, Aug. 26-28, in Boone, Iowa, to illustrate the benefits of its YieldBib VF tires with Ultraflex technologies compared to standard radial technology row-crop tires. As well, Michelin will showcase its new 50-inch SprayBib tire.

Michelin is planning two demonstrations for the YieldBib VF tires. First is a soil compaction demo, which will feature a large, above-ground pit that is designed to demonstrate the reduced soil compaction of a tractor equipped with Michelin YieldBib tires versus an identical tractor with standard radial tire technology. This is a static display that can be seen throughout the show. Second is the Michelin Traction Challenge. This live demonstration, lasting about 20 minutes, will take place on the “Michelin Testing Grounds.” Two identical tractors will pull against each other with the goal of showing improved traction as well as better fuel efficiency with YieldBib versus standard radial technology tires. Mitas to Unveil PneuTrac at Farm Progress Show

Mitas’ PneuTrac tire concept will be on display at the 2014 Farm Progress Show, which takes place August 26-28 in Boone, Iowa.

Mitas will display PneuTrac mounted on a 38-inch rim at booth 16S for the first time ever in the United States.

John Deere has introduced a new Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Equipment Program for consumers looking for field-ready used machines.
